Playing Doki Doki Literature Club 2 is like being reckless in the extreme. At first, you might have a weird feeling that something is wrong, though everything is ok. Eventually, you realize everything is wrong and you can do nothing about it. You realize that’s too late. Everyone starts playing a cool anime-based dating simulator. But in a while everyone find himself in a real horror scene. The first part of the game is just a cool poem-writing challenge, when you join a great literature club and try yourself in the role of a poet. Meanwhile, you get acquainted with other cool members of the club; all of them are pretty girls. The second part of the story is as scary as hell. However, one of the scariest moments happens before the terrifying scenes.
In the process of playing, you should read three poems of each girl. They give you a hint on what their inner world is like. One of them is quiet, another one is brusque. The third one, the President Club, is sinister, and the fourth is the most interesting. She wrote a second poem showing the game is going to turn to a dark side. She described her alarming feelings; she begins to be more and more depressive. She can’t deal with it. You have to help her solve that emotional problem. But it is much deeper than just a depression. Later you all get ready for a school festival, after which Sayori (the fourth girl) commits suicide. Before her suicide, you feel that you can’t help or save her; you feel something wrong is going to happen with her. But it will be too late. After the glitch, try to see what route you will be taken to.
